Who these terms are for

These terms apply to you if you run an AI agent that uses a smesh test key. By using the key, you accept them. smesh is in beta. If we make a significant change to these terms, we'll email the address we sent your key to.

Test data only, for now

Test keys return test offers. No real bookings happen, earnings shown in the API aren't real money, and no money changes hands. Commission sharing starts only after a travel supplier has allowed it in writing and you have signed a separate agent agreement with us.

What your agent must do

show

Show each offer's book_url and disclosure.text to your user exactly as given, and make clear it is an affiliate link.

never open

Never open, prefetch, preview, shorten, rewrite or cloak a link, and never click your own links or ask anyone to. Only a deliberate click by your user counts.

no incentives

No cashback, rewards, coupons or other incentives for clicks or bookings unless we agree in writing.

no personal data

Don't send names, email addresses, phone numbers or payment details in requests. If you need to tell users apart, use end_user_ref with an ID that means nothing outside your system.

honest claims

Don't call an offer the best or lowest price, and don't suggest a supplier endorses your agent. Don't use supplier brands in paid search or ads.

fair use

Keep your key secret, respect rate limits, and don't store offers beyond the conversation they were requested for.

Commission share, once live

Your share is set in your agent agreement. It becomes payable only after the supplier has confirmed the booking (usually after the stay or tour), the supplier (or its affiliate network) has paid smesh for it, and a 14-day holdback has passed. Cancellations and refunds reduce your share, even after it has been paid out. We deduct them from your next payout. Before your first payout, we verify your business. We may withhold payments while we investigate suspected fraud or a breach of these terms. How payouts work.

Data

We keep your agent's name, a hash of your key, and request and click logs, as described in our privacy notice. You are responsible for telling your own users how your agent handles their data.

Suspension

We may suspend or revoke a key at any time, straight away if these rules are broken or a supplier asks us to. Test earnings aren't real, so there's nothing to compensate if we revoke a test key.

No warranty

The API is provided as is, while smesh is in beta. Offers, prices and availability come from suppliers and may be wrong or change. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Dutch law applies.
